Need Your Disease

Slowly, but surely working away at the book announcement video for the RBMC. I've definitely learned a lot working on this one and am excited to show off some of my new tricks. It just isn't coming as quickly as I'd like. So here is just a little tease for what's to come. via Need Your Disease http://ift.tt/1MBI22h

Need Your Disease

Wow. That was a struggle. Finally figured out how to rig a bone off of a bone in Toon Boom Harmony. I was running into a problem where I would deform the Watcher's body and the arms would warp. Turns out I was rigging the arm bone to the body art and not the body's bone. Don't feel bad if none of this makes sense. It just means that that the Watcher will be much less stiff the next time you seem him/her. #toonboom via Need Your Disease http://ift.tt/1pQQRuR

Need Your Disease

One of the early sketches for the watcher. I was having trouble figuring out Erin Caruso's style and this was the first sketch where I felt like I cracked the code. Gone were the lanky watchers. #cartoon #art #rustbeltmonster #rbmc #sketch #ghost #octopus #antler via Need Your Disease http://ift.tt/1M7frBI

Need Your Disease

Now that the first video is up, I can start showing the "Watcher" created for it. He was my first rig built in Toon Boom Harmony using normal maps. It is a cool way to put 3D lighting on a 2D drawing. I'll have more through the week. #toonboom via Need Your Disease http://ift.tt/22gQATl

Need Your Disease

Took some time at Drink and Draw to finish him up. Might try and knock out another piece next week with this brush set. Liking the look I get from it. via Need Your Disease http://ift.tt/1Qnnqcx
