Need Your Disease

Got some new photoshop brushes. Playing around with the water color and realizing that I don't know what I'm doing. Time for some tutorial. via Need Your Disease http://ift.tt/1LCKqA2

Need Your Disease

Hope everyone had a great weekend! I have a headache I can't seem to shake, but I got to spend my Saturday painting with the rest of the Rust Belt Monster Collective. Snow giant and ice fishing was all I had in my head on the way to Brite Winter. Fish-duck was based on some confusion by JamesGiar about something in the river next to the event. Good times. #Brite16 via Need Your Disease http://ift.tt/1LCqU6y

Need Your Disease

Slowly, but surely, I am still plugging away at the new flight animations. I updated my variables and triggers to set the animation based on Being on the ground, whether they are carrying something, the animation state (starting, looping, or stopping), the direction they are flying, turning upwards/downwards, and if they are flying fast. The game is constantly checking those and picking the correct animation. I'm hoping to get these angles finished and tested soon. Fingers crossed. via Need Your Disease http://ift.tt/1WrWbiq

Believe it or not, I actually need all of these variables to get my flight animations to work. Today I sat down and added a few more to determine whether the Run/Speed button was down and one for figuring if you were turning upwards or downwards. I swear it needs to be this complicated. At least I think it does. Ugh. via Need Your Disease http://ift.tt/1QcbPtJ

Need Your Disease

Got to mess around with OBS yesterday (still can't believe it's free) and recorded a post mortem on my Global Game Jam game. Working on an overlay that has ended up way more Flintstones than I intended. Still need to tweak settings, but I had fun. Will definitely do more. #gamedev #construct2 via Need Your Disease http://ift.tt/23WQK0o

Need Your Disease

The game jam wiped my brain and i'm finally starting to ease back into my main project. It hasn't been easy. As far as I can figure, I was working on getting the "fast" flight animations in. I realized that he looked stupid while he was turning and all straightened out, so I figured out a way to determine if he is turning up or down and animate accordingly. Basically, I took the movement angle and converted it to a rotation angle (piggy backing on a lot of conditions set to trigger animations) and compared that against the direction being held on the analog stick. Confused yet? Me too, but I think the theory is sound. So I will be doing a little test soon and finishing the rest of the turning animations. More to come. PS - I also added a new head angle. I should probably do more of those. via Need Your Disease http://ift.tt/1K2YJCD

Still kind of drained from this weekend. Plan on recording some video of my game jam demo. Might try and tighten it up and post is up to the Scirra Arcade. More to come. #GGJ16 #cleggj via Need Your Disease http://ift.tt/20lcljX
